Magic Monday

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a challenging couple of weeks. Both for me and my clients. I’m not sure what’s up, but I do know that today’s ‘Monday Motivation’ is especially important for those of us that have been struggling!

The fact is, life is not always butterflies and roses. Life can be challenging, difficult, sad and disheartening. But the true beauty of life is that in the midst of all the challenges there is laughter, love, success and triumph!

Hopefully today’s links will help you get back in a positive and inspired state of mind. If you need a little extra help, you may want to check out the post I wrote about how to get out of a funk.

What a fantastic article, It Takes Courage to Want More “I wrote this letter to the part of myself that dared to listen to her pain more than her need for stability. Years ago, I sat on a beach and considered ending my life. I didn’t see another choice. I was an honors graduate of Harvard Law School on partnership track at a major law firm. I couldn’t bear my day/evening/weekend job, even with its lush paycheck. I couldn’t figure out any other options with my frantic, analytical mind. I had no glistening faith or trust in myself, the universe or even the tooth fairy, back then. You didn’t even really know what you wanted. You just knew you wanted to live and that there had to be something more. You thought you were imbecilic or weak for wanting fairy-dusted utopia as you saw it, without a plan, money or a strand of reasonable possibility. But you wanted it so much that you didn’t want to live if living meant existing in the life you knew, the “responsible” life that did not involve sand in your toes and being yourself.”

5 Tips to Loving Your Body More

5 Ways to Smell Good…Without Deodorant!

Getting Dirty for a Good Cause “Though to many, the very idea of oil bikinis may seem a bit ridiculous, you can’t help but be mesmerized by this creative calendar for the Surfrider Foundation in Europe. (The organization’s mission is to protect the ocean and its coastlines.) Highlighting last year’s catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the calendar shows scantily clad models wearing nothing but oil. It was designed to help recruit new volunteers to the Surfrider Foundation.”

Stop Withholding Your Pleasure This steamy article applies to relationships just as much as food, diet, and lifestyle. “Your pleasure is what makes the world go round.”

Life Only Sucks if You Do “Our aim should be to train our minds to be strong like strong muscles, so that we can apply an empowering meaning to tough times. As we walk The Path we must become the person it takes to manifest our dreams, otherwise we are simply wishing, hoping and dreaming. We must act.”

What I’ve Learned While Losing 40Lbs “I’m officially down 40 lbs. Hurrah! I’ve still got a really, really long way to go (more than 40 lbs left!) but nevertheless, I’m so excited, and downright proud of myself. It’s taken me awhile, but I’ve learned a lot and I feel confident that I’ll be able to keep it up. Like anyone who has dieted, I’ve heard every piece of diet advice under the sun. Here are the things I’ve learned to be true so far:”

How to Stop Being so Damn Lazy A great post for all bloggers. It’s easy to find some jackass blogger who can write ‘TOP 10 WAYS TO INFLUENCE YOUR NETWORK!!!’ But finding someone who has a deep, thorough knowledge of academic research, plus practical persuasion is extraordinarily rare.”

Natural Face Masks For Every Skin Type – I got some really great ideas from this beautiful slideshow!! Kim Kardashian recently tweeted this picture of her avocado face mask. Have you ever tried using natural ingredients as a face mask? I’ve used raw egg, honey & oats, and mashed papaya.  I want to start doing this more, my skin actually felt fantastic afterwards!!

Want BIG LOVE, um, Don’t Settle!

How to set Healthy Boundaries

Learning to be Alone Being alone isn’t such a bad thing. I love my alone time!! “It’s only when we’re fully comfortable being alone that we’re able to be comfortable with other people.” I’ve posted this before, but I just love this poem and vid!

Have you guys heard of Hannah Hart of My Drunk Kitchen? Oh. My. Goodness. If this doesn’t make you laugh, I don’t know what will!! Hilarious!! See for yourself!
