Delicious Detox Juice for weight loss & gorgeous skin!!

Today is Day 1 of the Annual Juice Feast!! How is everyone doing?!

Juice Feasting 101

Day 1 can sometimes be the hardest so make sure you take it easy on yourself. I love to light some candles and take a nice hot bath to relax at the end of the day. Remember that although this is a detox, it’s also a time to take care and pamper yourself. You are giving your body a rest while filling it with AMAZING nutrition, similarly you can fill your mind and your heart with positive energy and serenity. Books are another great way to unwind, learn, and get inspired. My favorite personal development books are at the bottom of the shop page. Take a look at the titles and see if any of the titles jump out at you!

Another great way to stay inspired during your juice feast is to have fun making different juice combos! There are many delicious juice recipes in the Juice Feasting 101 ebook but sometimes it’s fun to just throw things together and see what you come up with!

This juice is just a bunch of random ingredients that I threw together! I really like how it turned out, especially since it’s not very sweet. Sometimes when you are juicing, you get sick of sweeter tasting juices (or at least I do!!). This one is yummy and lower in sugar 🙂

Citrus Dream

You’ll need:

  • 2 grapefruits, peeled
  • 2 blood oranges, peeled (you can substitute regular oranges or tangerines if you can’t find blood oranges)
  • 7 carrots
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 1 inch knob of ginger

Simply run all ingredients through a juicer (Breville is my favorite brand) and enjoy! This recipe will make about 40 oz.

      Hi Shawn,
The ebooks are available for instant download so should be available across the globe. Can you tell me what problems you are having?

Hi Linda- I also am having trouble purchasing your ebook. Everytime I click ‘add to cart’ my cart is still showing up empty. Also if i click on your EBOOK link at the top, it shows that page as empty as well. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Looking forward to the read!

Day 1 went really well for me! I had a bit of a headache when I went to bed, but I don’t think it’s related to the juice feast. I get them a lot, and I’m hoping to reduce them by changing my diet.

I made 3 different juices yesterday, but I didn’t drink a whole gallon. I know your book says not to push it if you don’t feel you need it, but I was a little concerned about not getting enough calories. Do you find yourself having to drink a little more than you feel like you need? Every juice I made was about 32 oz, and it took me a while to drink each one, so I think that’s why I felt full all day.

      Hi Maureen,

Your body is VERY intelligent! If it doesn’t need more there is no reason to force yourself to have more. There maybe some days when you are having a whole gallon or more and others where you may be having much less. It all depends on where your body is at. Honor that and you will be fine 🙂

The first day went well. I did have a headache too but I think it was due to lack of caffeine. I tried the green machine and later that evening my headache went away without any medication. Juicing is a lot of work and purchasing lots of veggies and fruits. The cashier at HEB looked at me like I was weird lol. I got my husband to do this with me. I’m not going to lie, I do crave something to eat, to actually chew on. So far I have managed. I have a questioned about the Mag07 that you recommend taking in your ebook. Do you take one with each drink or all 5 capsules at bedtime? I don’t want to have cramping from taking so many at once.

    • Linda February 26, 2013 at 6:54 pm #

Juicing is a serious undertaking but it’s worth the effort in the end!! Headaches can be common in the beginning due to caffeine withdraws. You can also chew on ice or make juice ice cubes for something to “chew” on! 🙂
The Mag07 label suggests to take them all at once before bedtime.

I’ve done juicing in the past going to give it another try i was pleased with the results before. my question though is can I add chia seeds to my juice afterwards?

  6. terri March 10, 2013 at 1:40 am #

i was wondering instead of juicing could you just blend everything? thanks!

    • Linda March 10, 2013 at 4:07 pm #

You can blend fruits and veggies to make a smoothie but this specific recipe is designed to be made as a juice so might not taste as good blended. If you are looking for smoothie recipes, all of my smoothies can be found here https://lindawagner.net/blog/category/smoothies

    Hi there,
I have made several of your smoothies and love them but I just found out I have a mild intolerance to banana, avocado and romaine lettuce. I would like to do a juice feast soon so I was curious as to your thoughts on running your juice ingredients through a Ninja instead of a juicer??

    Hi Linda,
    Thanks for the inspiration!

Your recipe says makes 40oz, is it for one meal or throughout the day?

    Thanks
