Linda, you are absolutely beautiful inside and out! I love the video and you are such a natural on camera. I think it is a great idea of having you do these videos every Wed. addressing questions and issues! I laughed with your example of the animal hair on the floor. I experience the same thing with my three dogs on tile floor in kitchen. I will now be mindful of it and act NOW when I see it. As with other things in life that need to be addressed – thanks for that tip – perfect timing! You are one of the blog/website that I love to read and visit daily – I do feel comfortable and united here in sharing and reading with like minds. Thanks for the opportunity. Loving the recipes! Loving the blogs! Bring on more! You rock!

Loved it! I live in Wyoming and sometimes it’s hard to find people that are alike. I loved the do it now advice and surrounding yourself with positive even if it’s online. Can’t wait till next wednesday.

Dear Linda, again I am amazed that you have hit the nail on the head. In fact, just today, I realized that my goals are just not being achieved because I am shoulding myself to death! I have 5 goals that are at the core for this year for me…loosing weight, sew by hand, begin to live towards a more self-sufficient life, become more in tune with my family and learn to stop being so uptight.

Simple right, but so far, I am finding stumbling blocks that I know are placed there by me! I will take action and it will begin NOW! I’ll write them down and check them off – just like you shared.

Thank you so much for sharing and for taking the time to give of yourself.

    Your spirit shines through…

    • Linda January 12, 2012 at 11:32 am #

Awesome Maria! Yes, it is time to take ACTION and stop shoulding all over ourselves!! Do it NOW!! You go girl!!

    Enjoyed your video, very inspiring.
I do have one question. I have followed Dr. Merecola’s newsletter for several years. He does nutritional testing and people are classified as either protien types, carbohydrate types, or a combination. If you are classified as a protien type I do not think that juicing is recommended. Would you agree?

    • Linda January 12, 2012 at 11:22 am #

Hi Evelyn, You would want to ask Dr. Mercola himself as I am not familiar with his exact methods. I know that Dr. Gabriel Cousens does similar “body typing” and he recommends regular juice fasting across the board. I’ve found that for a majority of people (not all, but a very large majority) the problem lies in the body constantly being overwhelmed with excess waste and toxicity whether from the foods that are eating or toxicity in our environment. Juice feasting gives the body and the digestive system a break and allows it to filter through that excess regardless of body type.

Of course there are several methods and modalities to cleansing and healing. This just happens to be based on my opinion and personal experiences. I encourage everyone to do their own research, ask questions, and see what the best fit is for them. 🙂

Great video! You are so inspiring and gorgeous! I got a juicer for Christmas so I have lots of juice-y questions 🙂

    • Linda January 12, 2012 at 11:13 am #

Hi Maimie, Thanks for commenting!! I’ve been getting TONS of juicing questions so that will probably be the focus of my next video 🙂

Your skin is amazing! Any tips for feeding our skin from the outside? i.e home made skin products, etc..

    • Linda January 12, 2012 at 11:12 am #

Thank you Sam!! I use all natural skin care products like coconut oil and products by Jenuinely Pure and Alba. Those products are amazing but it really is all about what I put into my body! The cleaner I eat the better my skin!! I used to have pretty persistent acne – a clean diet and regular colon cleansing has made a world of difference!! I’ll do a post sometime in the near future on the products I use and also some fun homemade skincare recipes I have! xo

Linda, I agree with the do it now attitude and I have been actively doing things now. When my family was unable to be supportive of my activities, I have found support online. Also, I find strength and focus by going to the library. This helps me keep out some of the distractions and discouragement of others. I am glad that I stumbled upon your website. Thank you.

    • Linda January 12, 2012 at 11:11 am #

      awesome Michelle!!

‘Do it now!’ that’s going to be my goal for 2012. Your skin’s beautiful! What’s the secret?

    • Linda January 12, 2012 at 11:11 am #

Well, thank you Marie!!

I just recently found your site, and am really enjoying it! I am also a new resolution girl, and am trying to lose weight but also change my lifestyle. I am finally getting myself in the mindset of truly being aware of what foods I put in my mouth. For the past 15 years I have gotten very overweight, and have tried many different “diets”. The only problem is I would put all the lost weight back on and then some! Such a vicious cycle that I know many people struggle with. So, with the new year I am giving myself a break, and just learning day by day. I have Dr. Gillian McKeith’s books and really like her very whole eating strategy. Unfortunately she is very extreme, so I take a good deal of it, and incorporate with what is doable for me. I’ve been searching around the web for natural, whole eating ideas. That is how I came across your blog.
Thank you for such positive info and great recipes! I am now an avid follower.

    Hi Linda

I’ve been following your blog for about a month now and it’s really helping me try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I love your recipes and just about everything you post, I get so excited when I see new content is up!! I would really appreciate if in one of your upcoming vlogs you could tackle the issue of dairy – what is okay and what is not, and what you recommend in terms of trying to lose weight. I don’t see a lot of dairy ingredients in your recipes and I think you said before you don’t do cow’s milk. I’m not big on milk but I do love yogurt, especially as part of a healthier lifestyle I’ve switched over to greek yogurt. I would love if you could expand on this topic for us!

    Hi Linda,

I am thrilled that you have started doing these video blogs! Your energy comes through even more than your writing. You can also get a lot of information into one blog. I’m eager to do more juicing and am looking forward to talking to you tomorrow. How wonderful to know that you will produce a new video blog every week.

Thank you for sharing your expertise! I have had a rare skin disease for over 20 years, nothing my dermatologist has recommended has helped. I have finally taken responsibility for my health and found your blog. I have been eating gluten free most days and have found that it has made a world of difference for my skin. Recently shared my successes with my general practice Dr. and he is very supportive. I am really working hard on surrounding myself with like people and loving how I feel. So…thank you for helping me find something that works for me and helping me live with this horrible skin disease! I feel like I am just starting to live again!
