I’m learning its not what you put on your body, but in it to make you beautiful.

Hi Linda! I have been drinking green smoothies in the morning now for over 2 weeks. (The habit had been formed. Yay!) I’m finding that that my skin is breaking out, which isn’t a normal thing and my core temperature is greatly increased, like I’m sweating all the time (TMI, I know). You can feel the heat radiating off of me.

Am I detoxing? Is there a typical time frame that the detoxing stage will end in?

I greatly apppreciate all that you do.

I have never gotten a manicure or pedicure at a salon because I am afraid of catching something. Is there such a thing as a safe manicure/pedicure? My husband works for Allied Insurance and they don’t insure salons that do pedicures because of the risk of infection.

The chemicals in commercial nail products is absolutely atrocious! I just do my own nails and use natural products like those from SCOTCH Naturals. It’s a lot cheaper too! 🙂

    Hi linda,
I am really excited to start my own Juice feast next week and after reading this entry am curious to know if you have ever heard about Arbonne- we offer skin care, baby care, cosmetics and so on that are natural, pure, safe and beneficial. I think they would fit well with the things you are saying here. Check them out:

I have heard of arbonne and used their products about 4 years ago. They were nice but the ones I listed are my favorites! 🙂

I loved this post! Thank you! I was wondering if there’s such a thing as OD’ing on probiotics? I’m currently taking Align and not really feeling a huge benefit from it. I’m intrigued by the VSL#3 you mentioned but am concerned about my body building a dependency or immunity towards it. Would love to know your thoughts!

    • Linda February 4, 2012 at 11:45 am #

Hi Liz, no such thing as OD’ing 😉

I made the switch to Jenuinely Pure products about three months ago and am LOVING everything from the body oil & household cleaner to the soap nuts, now my mom and a few friends are using the too! Now, I am doing research on make-up lines and was hoping you could give some recommendations. It is so hard to decipher what products are truly good for you versus just able to market themselves as organic, natural, pure…..etc.
    Thanks Linda!

Hi Bree, this is a great question and I think I’ll do a blog post on it in the very near future!
