Cleanse America Day 3 & 4

Day 3 started off with a hot glass of Ginger Lemon Detox Tea. I love this stuff – it’s so cleansing first thing in the morning!

Next was another Green Smoothie, same recipe as yesterday with Banana, Mango, Strawberry and Spinach. Simple and delish!

Followed by a Blueberry Superfood Smoothie

and another serving of The Best Salad Ever!

Day 4 was spent travelling to Stephenville, TX to meet with the Cleanse America crew to do a class with Paul Risse, the founder of Cleanse America called “Finding Balance”. Since I knew I would be travelling, I made 2 big batches of my Basic Green Smoothie to take with me on the road.

Once I got to Stephenville, I went straight to Barefoot Market. What a delightful, healthy oasis in right in the middle of the Cowboy Capital! The lovely people there got me hooked on the Matte Latte which is their special blend of yerba matte, hemp milk, and honey. Delicious!!

For the class we made some great smoothies, juices, and a blended soup that everyone loved! I’m so excited to share it with you because I know you are going to love it too!!

Creamy Tomato Soup

You’ll need:

  • 3-4 Large ripe tomatoes
  • ½ cup Brazil nuts
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1-2 tsps garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • ½ dropper of stevia or 1 tsp honey
  • 1 Tbs Tamari or Nama Shoyu
  • 2 Tbs Nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • sea salt to taste
  • ½ cup water

In your Vitamix blend all ingredients until creamy. The longer you blend, the warmer your soup will be. If you do not have a high speed blender like the VitaMix you may want to use a food processor instead however, the consistency will be kind of chunky when using a food processor.

Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking then garnish with fresh avocado slices, cherry tomatoes, or fresh corn kernels!  Et voila, in less than 5 minutes your delicious soup is done!! This was a HUGE hit so I really encourage all of you to try it!! I promise you won’t be dissapointed!!

I hope the cleanse is going great for all of you so far!! We’re halfway there! I’ve had a great time in Stephenville. HUGE thank you to all of the lovely people who came to Barefoot Market for our class!!

Wonderful, Linda! I love your superfood smoothies – they ROCK! I’ve been drinking your turmeric ginger detox tea the past few mornings with green smoothies, superfood smoothies and blended soups for dinner. I actually made the creamy tomato soup last night! How in-sync!? That matte latte sounds yummy. Great pictures of you! You look so refreshed! Have a wonderful weekend! Warmer weather is returning – YYEEESSSS!

I tried this version tonight and it was YUMMY! I substituted hemp seeds for the brazil nuts, added some sun dried tomatoes and topped off with some fresh basil leaves. DIVINE! Scott went back for a second helping and was licking the bowl clean when finished. YES, it is THAT good, people! Please try it. Perfect after a nice green salad on the 9th day of Cleanse America. Thanks, Linda!
