With colder temps in the air I always start to crave soups! They are such a great way to stay slim. The thing I really love about soups is that they are so comforting and filling. They are a great weight loss food and a great way to get more veggies into your diet without feeling restricted!
I’ve posted articles on how a soup diet can help with weight loss and I personally use soup as a way to get back on track all the time! Fall can be a very challenging time for me, and for most of us, due to the holidays and constant social events. It’s very easy to get caught up in not-so-healthy comfort foods, throw on a bunch of fall layers, and not realize that we are gaining weight! If you feel like you’ve gotten off track, make up a big ‘ol pot of soup that’s loaded with veggies and have it several times a day. You can also have salads, smoothies, and juices as well.
My typical soup routine looks like this:
- AM meal: Green Smoothie
- Snack: Green Juice or Detox Tea
- Lunch: Soup – feel free to have as much as you need to feel full!
- Snack: you can have a Green Smoothie, Green Juice, more Soup, or veggies and hummus. If you’re not hungry, simply skip it!
- Dinner: Soup – feel free to have as much as you need to feel full! You can also have a salad if you like.
- Dessert: a couple squares of 70% dark chocolate
This is a really simple plan that always works for me and I never feel hungry!! I actually always feel full and satisfied and my body feels amazing after a few days due to the high volume of veggies I’m consuming!!
