If you are anything like me and millions of other women, you know how defeating and frustrating diets can be. Dolly Parton once said: “I tried every diet in the book. I tried some that weren’t in the book. I tried eating the book. It tasted better than most of the diets.” I’m sure most of you can relate, I know I can! I spent half of my life dieting and tried everything from counting calories, protein shakes, diet foods, raw foods, juice fasting, every cleansing product on the planet, restriction, diet pills, shakes, veganism, vegetarianism, you name it!! But none of these ever got me where I wanted to go. Either I lost zero weight or I would lose weight only to gain it all back and then some.

If you’ve been following me online and on my website, you know that my approach is different then most. I focus on giving my clients the tools they need to gain a deep understanding of how the body works, what food it’s designed for and how to listen to the body’s signals. Once you really understand how the body works on a physiological level, you’ll never have to wonder what diet is the best, which foods are ok, and no more counting calories or excessively exercising to keep your weight down.

There are simple, basic guidelines that for some reason no one talks about.  These are the key to unlocking your natural, healthy state of well-being.  Once my clients understand and incorporate these principles into their lifestyle they look and feel better than they have in years or in most cases, EVER!  Believe me, you are going to look fantastic, but you are going to feel even better!

Mainstream diets and nutrition miss the mark.  Most weight loss methods disconnect us from our body’s inherent wisdom and force us to work against the body with strict rules, restrictions and guidelines. Thankfully, there is another way. Weight loss can be liberating, fun, delicious, and satisfying. My weight loss program requires:

I lost 30lbs and a whole slew of health issues and never looked back.

Here’s what my life was like before:

  • Constantly losing and gaining weight.
  • Constant hunger and cravings.
  • When my weight was up I would feel too self conscious to go out. I would stand in front of my closet for hours trying to figure out what to wear and hating the way all my clothes fit me.
  • Counting calories, restricting, and exercising for a few weeks then falling off the wagon, binging on junk food and feeling like a complete failure.
  • I was extremely moody.
  • I suffered with depression & anxiety.
  • I was constantly angry at my body. I always felt like my body was working against me.
  • Skin issues like rashes, uneven skin tone and acne. Acne was a biggie for me and didn’t start until after I graduated college. It was another huge source of insecurity for me.
  • Allergies
  • Frequent colds and flu. There was not a winter that went by without me getting at least 2-3 bad colds.
  • Trouble focusing or concentrating.
  • Extreme fatigue – I was constantly tired. I woke up tired and spent my days feeling tired, it was as if no amount of sleep was ever enough for me.
  • Digestive issues like gas, bloating, and indigestion.
  • Negative outlook on life.

“Hi Linda, I am writing to let you know that I am seeing major progress.  Lots of people were commenting to me at the end of last week about my weight loss. And, maybe it’s partially mental, but I did wake up yesterday feeling lighter.  Does that make sense?  I have definitely seen the results in inches lost.  I took my measurements on March 11 to see if I could use that as a indicator instead of the scale.  Well, yesterday, I took them again on a whim and guess what?  Amazing results seen from shoulders to toes!!!!  I have lost 1″ in my thighs, 1.5″ in my waist, and had .5-1″ losses in chest, calves, arms, and hips.  How amazing is that??

“Linda, Yesterday was my two week mark!  So far I have found it really easy to stick to, even while eating out with friends, and can definitely see myself sticking to this going forward.  Here are a few highlights: 1) I am completely addicted to the Green Smoothie!  I have only skipped them two mornings due to scheduling conflicts and I noticed on both days I skipped them, I felt dehydrated the rest of the day, regardless of how much water I drank.  I have also noticed that I don’t NEED coffee anymore.  I might still want a cup, but I no longer feel like I need a cup to fully wake up. 2) I have lost about 5-6 pounds.  I have also used the past two weeks as motivation to get back in the gym and have started lifting again, so I may have lost more fat and put on some muscle weight, but either way, I fit better in my clothes and feel better when looking in the mirror. 3) I don’t know if it is possible to see results this quickly, but I do notice that my fingernails seem to be much stronger.  My nails usually break the second they get to a certain length, but they are past that point and feel stronger than ever. 4) My digestion and elimination has definitely improved. Overall, I am excited to see how I feel in another two weeks and onward.
