  1. When I made bone/veggie broth, I keep it in a crock pot @ warm so it’s always ready to drink. I used some of the broth to cook my veggie, strained and return the broth to the pot after the veggie was done. Broccoli and Brussels sprouts are especially tasty when cook in broth instead of water.

    If you like clear broth, remember to reduce heat to simmer after the first fast boil. Skim off scums and oil that float up on top. Leave it on simmer with partially opened lid.
