Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin! It’s everywhere right now! I have several clients who are trying to kick their latte habit so I thought I’d share a little info about why those delicious lattes are so bad for you and how to make your own cleaned up version that tastes just as good!

From, “Cooler Fall temperatures call for warmer beverages, and many can’t wait for the pumpkin spice latte to be offered at their go-to Starbucks. But unfortunately for this seasonal treat, sugar and spice are not everything nice for your waistline.

Short (8 fl oz) 210 8 25
Tall (12 fl oz) 300 11 38
Grande (16 fl oz) 380 13 49
Venti (20 fl oz) 470 15 62

The whopping amount of sugar in a pumpkin spice latte is not doing your body any good, especially when we know that sugar may be as addictive as smoking. And the amount of fat in each drink — most of it saturated — can top a quarter of your recommended daily amount of fat intake. If this is your standard Fall order, it’s high time to rethink your drink.”
