The Power of Positive Thinking

Hi darlings, oh how I’ve missed you!! Please pardon my extended absence from the blog…I’ve had quite a string of bad luck over the last month including a totaled car, stolen phone and stolen wallet. Needless to say it’s been a stressful and hectic month! Despite these inconveniences, I’m feeling absolutely amazing!! I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and if you look at your life objectively, you can always take away a valuable lesson from your experiences…good or bad.

In my own life, I think these recent challenges served to remind me how strong I am and that I can get through anything. It taught me that it’s ok to let other people in, it’s ok for other people to help me, and that I don’t have to always do everything on my own. That’s a biggie for me. I always want to do everything on my own. I never want to ask for help. But being vulnerable is OK! It’s part of being human and it’s actually what allows us to receive love and support and become STRONGER in the end!! Huge gratitude for my friends and family who have been so amazing, encouraging, and supportive through all of this!!

Life is all about perception. We chose what we think about and in turn, we become what we think about. I could have moped around thinking “Why does everything bad keep happening to me? What did I do to deserve this??” Instead I decided to focus on the positive and take the lesson from the experience instead. The reality is that we can’t change what happens to us but we can change how we think about it. In my case, I thought “New car, new phone, new wallet, NEW LIFE!!!” Seriously, I did! I celebrated the changes and took it as a cosmic shedding of old skin. I feel strong, motivated and excited for the future!

There are going to be some amazing changes coming in the very near future. This website is getting a fabulous makeover! There will also eventually be video programs and ebooks for sale in my online store! Heck, maybe I’ll even publish a legitimate recipe book! Like I said, the sky is the limit and these small obstacles were just reminders of how strong I am, what’s really important, and what I really want out of life!

I encourage you to look at your own obstacles in the same way. Remember to have GRATITUDE. There is always something to be thankful for! By focusing on the positive we can learn, grow, and move on. By focusing on the positive we also attract more positive things into our lives (Hello Law of Attraction and The Secret!!)

Looking forward to all the amazing, fun things the future holds!! So much gratitude to all of my clients and readers! Your positive energy revs me up and keeps me going!! xo

Great post, Linda. I am going to become a daily reader to give myself a daily dose of perspective. It’s too often that I let my mind wander down the “poor me path”. Your words are incredibly inspiring. I needed this today after a sleepless night with a sick kiddo. Thank You! Well done and keep em’ coming! :)
