I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!! Here are your Monday Motivation links!!
“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.” -Jim Rohn
Interesting article on why women like to be alone and men don’t
“Past mistakes should teach you to create a wonderful future; not cause you to be afraid of it. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come” -via www.marcandangel.com love their blog, LOADS of inspiration!
The TDL on Why We Date at the Level of our Self Esteem. “The common question seems to be: “How can I change myself so this will work”, and the response is “Don’t change yourself – BE YOURSELF”…The responsibility is on you to communicate your needs and to choose someone who honors you, cherishes you and loves you…If you don’t love, honor and cherish yourself, you will settle and your needs won’t get met.”

The Emotional Side of Cleansing “There’s a big part of the cleansing ritual that rocks our emotional world. The more intense the cleanse + the longer you go, the more profound your experience may be.”
People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, MAKE THEM. – George Bernard Shaw
Interesting read on a controversial topic: A magazine dedicated to plus-size fashion and models has sparked controversy with a feature claiming that most runway models meet the Body Mass Index criteria for anorexia.
What you need to know about Parabens and Breast Cancer Study: Nearly all women with breast cancer have parabens in their breast tissue. They are added to everything from shampoos and deodorants to processed foods and pharmaceutical drugs in order to inexpensively extend shelf life and improve product stability. But a new study out of the University of Reading (UR) in the UK has found that, based on tests conducted, nearly every single woman with breast cancer has one or more paraben chemicals in her breast tissue, suggesting a possible link between the chemical and the disease.
Pink Ribbons Inc. A Must-see documentary for all women. Exposes the total sham of the “pink ribbons” commercialization push by Komen. If you think you can cure cancer by buying “pink” products, think again. Watch this preview and see the movie. I think awareness is always a good thing. I think that the Komen Foundation has brought a tremendous amount of awareness and support for women and families dealing with this issue. However, I do agree there is so much hypocrisy and contradiction. We must EDUCATE women on prevention and how to take care of themselves on the most basic levels (like sharing articles like the one above)…but there’s not a lot of money in that is there?
Amazing, Vivid Thumbtack Art – very cool!
Preservatives are actually killing you. Sodium benzoate is a preservative that promotes cancer and kills healthy cells. This killer is flying under consumer radar with its user friendly tag line, “as a preservative.” This silent cell choker has found its way into thousands of products, even foods that are labeled as all natural. But don’t be fooled. While benzoic acid is found naturally in low levels in many fruits, the sodium benzoate listed on a product’s label is synthesized in a lab.
How A Doctor Cured Her Terminal Illness Using Food Alone (Amazing Video and Photos) – Diagnosed with a terminal illness, Dr. Terry Wahls used the best drugs the medical world had to offer and still ended up in a wheelchair!
