Juice Feasting Recipes Galore!!

Today is day 9 of the juice feast! I’m almost done! Today I wanted to share with you the numerous recipes I have enjoyed over the last 9 days. I hope they inspire you to make juicing a regular part of your daily routine! All of these recipes make approximately 1 quart (32oz) of juice, give or take based on produce.

This is one of my All-Time favorite juice recipes. It is soooooo good! It’s so refreshing, you simply MUST try it for yourself!

Pineapple, Cucumber, Mint Juice

  • 1/2 ripe pineapple
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 bunch of mint

Run all ingredients through juicer (I recommend Breville) and enjoy!

Juice Feasting 101

This juice was a surprise and total coincidence. I was watching the NFL Playoffs on Sunday and went to grab a juice. I had already made some fresh oj but wanted to add some greens. I had no idea that when juiced separately, the juice would maintain layers…and they just happened to be the team colors of the Greenbay Packers who were playing that very moment! I love the look! This would be really fun for kids or to serve to guests!

The Greenbay

  • 5 oranges (remember to peel oranges before juicing, otherwise juice will be bitter)
  • juice of 1/2 bunch parsley

Run oranges through juicer (I recommend Breville) and set aside. Separately juice parsley. Slowly pour parsley juice over OJ forming two layers.

Note: you will probably want to mix this juice before drinking, unless you enjoy the taste of straight parsley juice!!

This juice is basically just a dump everything you have in your fridge and add 1 beet, juice. And that is precisely what I did! I LOVE the rich red color!

Sweet Ruby

  • small bunch grapes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 bunch rainbow chard
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1 medium size beet
  • 1/2 habanero or jalapeno pepper (optional but I love the heat in this juice!)

Run all ingredients through juicer (I recommend Breville) and enjoy!

This is your big, bad green juice for when you are really craving greens and want to get a TON of nutrition. This juice is MAJOR!

Green Machine

  • 3 cucumbers
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 1/2 bunch spinach
  • 1/2 bunch swiss chard
  • 1-2 lemon or lime (peeled)
  • stevia to taste (optional)

Run all ingredients through juicer (I recommend Breville) and enjoy!

I love this juice! I always feel so ENERGIZED after drinking it!! It’s pretty heavy on the greens though so some people may need to start off with smaller quantities than I listed. I love this sweet, tangy juice! It’s like sunshine in a glass!! You can find boxes of the Cuties clementines everywhere this time of year and they are inexpensive too! They make such a lovely little juice, it’s hard to put into words how absolutely delicious it is!!

Oh Clementine!

  • 5 peeled clementines
  • 2 large grapefruit

Run all ingredients through juicer (I recommend Breville) and enjoy!

Let’s say this was your daily intake for a day of juice feasting. That would mean that in ONE DAY you reaped the nutritional benefits of:

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 6 cucumbers
  • 1 bunch of mint
  • 5 oranges
  • 1.5 bunches parsley
  • 1 small bunch grapes
  • 1 apple
  • 3 lemons
  • 1 bunch rainbow chard
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1 medium size beet
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1/2 bunch spinach
  • 1/2 bunch swiss chard
  • 5 clementines
  • 2 large grapefruit

There is simply no other way you could get that much nutrition in a day! Juice feasting is awesome!

If you don’t like certain ingredients, simply substitute with another fruit of veggie or your choice. For instance if you don’t like parsley, you can substitute spinach, kale, swiss chard, romaine, or any other green! That’s the fun thing about juicing, there are no rules! Just use what you’ve got and adjust the flavors according to your tastes. After some practice you will know exactly what flavors you like together. So have fun and experiment with lots of interesting combos!!

    I just started using my Breville that I purchased last year. I am starting off slow (so that I stick with it) juicing and eating healthier. The other day I made a pear and strawberry juice. 2 pears and 6 strawberries. It was no where near 32 oz, but it was awesome and I was full after drinking it! I have made your green smoothie and I like it, but it’s way too sweet for me so I need to tweak it somehow. Keep posting because I love reading your blog! Thanks so much for all the info you give!

      Rhonda, your strawberry pear juice sounds lovely :)
      If the green smoothie is too sweet, try subbing avo for the banana, that will make a huge difference! :)

      I agree the green smoothie is awesome but a bit sweet, just add a little water to the mix that will do the trick.

    Thank you so much for sharing all of your recipies!!! I am planning on starting a juice feast next week and since this is my first attempt at anything like this, I will be relying heavily on your recipies!! I’ve been doing the spinich and fruit smoothies for a few weeks now and feel confident that I can be successful at a 5-7 day juice feast!! If I’m doing ok on day 7, I’m going for 10!!!     Great job on the juice feast, lady! Your juice recipes look fantastic.

    I’ve been so lazy during my Rose Cleanse, and have had most of my juices delivered this month. LOL :) But– I plan on breaking out my Breville now!

      Thanks Megan, you know your blog really killed me during the feast. I kept telling myself not to go there but couldn’t resist!! Then to make it worse you were training with Doris, omg…now I want to make EVERY single recipe you’ve posted!! I’m basically going into the Rose Cleanse now for a few weeks so I’m right there with ya! Just enjoying a nice, slow transition back to solid foods :)

    I have been Juice Feasting for almost 2 weeks, now, I am craving beans and peanut butter, any beans, kidney, black beans, white beans, I don’t care I just want to eat them. And the Peanut Butter I just want to stick my head in the jar. Is this normal?

      Haha Dawn, I feel ya! It’s normal to go through these cycles. Sometimes it just means you need more calories from your juices. Try adding carrots or sweet potatoes to your juices. You can also add a little coconut oil to get some good fat!

    Hi Linda. New to your site. Love it!! I was concerened on how I would juice, since I didn’t have a juicer; however, a friend of mine over heard me talking about doing a Juice Feast and He said he had one and just gave it to me on Sunday. (for Free) What a blessing and confirmation that I should be juicing. So I have started my 10 day juice feast. I am on my second day. My question is, how much juice should I be averaging a day? I’m concerned that I may not be drinking enough. Also, I play competitive volleyball twice a week and I am concerned not having protein to substain me. Any recommendations you can make would be wonderful. Thanks!!

    Hi Linda! I love your blog! You are such a beautiful inspiration! I’m having a hard time juicing my greens. I just don’t feel like I’m getting enough juice out of them & feel they are being wasted. I’ve heard there are tricks like combining them with other things in the juicer or rolling them in a ball. Do you have any tricks or tips to get the Breville to juice leafy greens better to ensure your getting the most possible juice out of them? Maybe a vlog. ;) Thank you so much!!! :)

      I usually pack a HUGE bunch/ball of greens in at a time then push it through slowly. This will get the most out of the green leafy veg. If there are only a few leaves the breville will not do a very good job so just make sure you are packing those greens tight! I will also sometimes put the pulp back through if I feel like I’ve got a lot of larger chunks in the pulp. I hope that helps!!

        You are so right, Linda! Packing the greens tightly or rolling them into tight balls really helps. I also try to juice them together with harder goodies such as carrots or apples. Running the pulp through another time is a superb tip. I have been doing it for a while and it is amazing how much extra juice one gets. The pulp is much drier after the second time.     Tried the cuke/mint/pineapple juice for the first time–wow. Am now resolved to grow mint in a pot–apartment dweller here. I am still loving my masticating juicer–does the greens so much better than the centrifugal juicers. I agree that the Breville is probably better for volume, but slow and steady wins the race for me. :)

    No one mentions seeding the citrus before juicing it. I juiced some oranges and grapefruit without removing the seeds. Unfortunately, they made the juice so bitter it was almost undrinkable. I drank it only because I hated the thought of wasting all that money. Has anyone else had bitterness in their citrus juices?

      I never remove the seeds, it shouldn’t make a difference. PEELING them, however is crucial. The juice will be VERY bitter if the skin is not removed!

        Thank you for your response. I had peeled all the citrus quite thoroughly. I’ve had this same problem before and could only guess at the seeds since any time I’ve bitten a grapefruit seed, it has been bitter. Looking forward to trying your recipes. They look delicious!

    I love, love, love the Green Machine! I never thought I’d be drinking juice with no fruit other than lemon in it and LOVING it! Although I have yet to get a quart out of the recipe. I think my cukes are too small. I really could go all day on this.

    Im fixing to start doing this and I am curious as to how much juice a day you should have? Also, how long do you do this and do you eat one regular meal during the day or only do juice? I was going to just do juice all day and no meals.

    Typically speaking- is this what you drink in a day when you’re juicing? I watched your ‘juice feasting how to guide’ but am still a little confused on just how much I should be drinking each day if I try juicing. Thanks in advance for the response! Excited to get to juicing!!

      I drink anywhere from 2-5 quarts per day depending on hunger :)

    So, I am not familiar with rainbow chard, or chard at all…sorry if this sounds dump but how much is a “bunch” is that a couple stalks?

      a bunch is the “bunch” that you would get at the grocery store. Typically about 6-8 leaves all tied together in a “bunch”. I hope that helps!!

    Great article! Here is my favorite veggie juice:

    1 large tomato
    2 stalks of celery
    5 carrots
    5 large lacinato kale leaves
    1 lemon
    1 small bunch of parsley

    So yummy :D

    I really like using ginger in my juices – my current favorite is what I call ‘root’ juice
    Root Juice
    1 slice of ginger root
    2 medium beets
    8 carrots
    4 oranges
    2 apples
    …makes a full quart

    I’ll be trying some of your recipes, they sound yummy!

    Hi there! I’m new to juicing (i.e. I don’t have a juicer, have been trying juices from assorted juice bars to get accustomed to it, have been reading a lot)….. and I’m wondering if there is any prep leading into a first juice feast. Should I start replacing meals with juice, one at a time, until I get into a full-fledged feast? And what about after I’m finished with a feast, say a 7-day feast…….. can I automatically reintroduce solid foods, or is there a specific way to add them back in?

    I’m an actor/singer, and it’s generally not recommended to do any sort of extreme diet when you’re in the middle of a run. I just booked a national tour starting in September, but I’d like to do a juice fast beforehand if possible!

    Today is my first day of juicing. I hope I can stick with it. How much juice should I be consuming each day?

    After making my first gallon for my boyfriend and myself, I am afraid that this is going to be a lot more work than I had previously anticipated.

    It will all be worth it in the end though!=)

      Each of you will probably be having about 1/2 – 1 gallon of juice daily. It’s a LOT of juice and a lot of preparation but it’s worth it!! Good Luck!! :)

      Cucumbers make a very refreshing juice. They are very neutral, and can compliment any juice, as I assume you won’t be eating them, u will be juicing them. That being said, typically, you can replace any fruit or veg with one that has similar charateristics, color, pigments, water content, etc. Substitute for cucumber would be celery, they havd many of the same properties, I personally think celery is stronger, but hey.

    I love the “Oh Clementine!” recipe. This past weekend I picked up some Sumo Citris at Wholefoods. It was the first time I had seen them on the East Coast and they could be a great subsititue in any recipes that use oranges or clementines. The flavor was incredible and I can’t wait to drop them in the juicer tonight..

    Loving the juicing life and have to say that this site has some of the best recipes. I’m disabled and can’t really walk far or do any other type of cardio exercises so when i found juicing it was a godsend for me. We did a 3 day cleanse after 2 weeks in and it went fine, however when i tried to do a 7 day around the 4th day i was loopy stumbling mumbling etc, till we realized that a lot of the pain meds i take STRONGLY suggest food with medication, take on a full stomach etc, which the juice wasn’t doing, so looks like 3 day will be how we run. Thought it might be something any other medicated folks might want to be aware of.
    So i think you for recipes and recipe ideas. I actually spend about half my time looking for recipes the other half? i spend that looking for give a ways for one of the breville juicers, we got a wally world special and it apparently works well, rumor has it i look like i’ve lost some decent poundage.

      Thank you for posting this. I am also disabled and am 28 years old. I just started juicing – I have a Ninja.. just got it. I’m on Morphine active and extended release… as well as a slew of other medications unfortunately. I hope to drop some weight from being ill from Pseudo Exogenous Cushing’s Syndrome now that I’ve gone into remission – but I still have my Failed Back Syndrome (spinal/hip/leg issues) making it difficult to exercise. Anyway, thank you again for this post!

    I started juicing 2 weeks ago just replacing one meal a day with juicing and cuting out all man made foods im down 12 pounds :) I love juicing my fav. Recipe is called green Lemonade :D
