Howdy folks!! I hope you all had an amazing weekend!! My weekend was absolutely FABULOUS!! I rode around on my new beach cruiser, played mini golf, watched Girl Talk perform at one of my favorite outdoor venues, and spent lots of time with my guy. A great weekend sometimes makes Monday that much more difficult so here’s some lovely links to get you going!
Weedrobes: Artist creates stunning garments from fruit, weeds, flowers
LOVE this quote, I want to put it in my office so I can see and read it everyday: “Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your mind. Put your whole soul to it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I thought this was really interesting! It’s amazing how much someone can change – these people look completely different compared to their original passport photos!
I love this article on helping yourself first. “The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm.” -Swedish Proverb
I just got a fabulous new beach cruiser and am obsessed with all things bike right now. One of Vouge’s latest articles: How to Dress as a Summer Cyclist:
Take Risks on Behalf of your dreams: “So many of us live lives that are cut off, shut down and in our comfort zone. We value certainty over love & our happiness. In the end, we’ll come to see that there is no certainty in life, only the appearance of certainty.”
I love the Glamourai’s style and I love that she’s from Austin. Check out her awesome style blog here.
Your Weight is not Your Worth: “So instead of weighing my body’s worth (literally) and measuring my body’s value in pounds, I am aiming to measure my body in accomplishments. I am going to applaud my body for what it is capable of. I am going to be thankful for my body for all that it allows me to do.”
Advice so many of us could use. Mastin Kipp of The Daily Love tells us why we are Not Responsible for other People’s Emotions: “I am only responsible for my experience of life. I am not responsible for anyone else’s experience but my own…As much love, listening, advice, guidance and coaching that I give someone, they are ultimately responsible for their own transformation. They are responsible for their own letting go, for their own moving on. They are responsible for their own experience of life.”
Keep your head up 🙂
Hope you Enjoy!! Have a wonderful week!!!
